Nothing New

Another month is about to end and a new one to begin...and not much has been accomplished...
Still looking for a job...
Still trying to expand our family...
Still cleaning, sorting and organizing our home...

Justin had his first day at his new office today. He seems to enjoy being around people more than being at an empty office. Hopefully he will continue to be as successful as he was at his old job.
We're looking forward to our trip to New York in June.... It has been too long since we have seen our nephews and look forward to getting the last of my things at my parents before they sell my childhood home....

Guess that is the only new things going on here in Iowa...looking forward to hearing from all of you!!!

A New Year---A New Lease on Life

In the last few months, we have moved into our new home, Justin started his new job as the Station Commander here in Osceola, Iowa, and we have started a new year.
Christmas was very quiet. We spent the day going to church to remember the true meaning of Christmas and then stayed inside enjoying a homemade dinner and sleep. We bought caught the flu and spend a day or two in bed recovering.
New Years was a lot of fun. We went to a new friends' home and enjoyed getting to know them outside of church and then headed off to our newest club: Justin & I are now members of the Osceola Eagles Club.
The countdown was fun and we were able to kiss TWICE...celebrating Eastern AND Central Times!!
Since the 1st of the year we have been planning trips to all of our families.
Looks like the closest Houston trip is in February when we hope to make it to Justin's friend's wedding.
New York should be in April when I head East to help pack and organize my childhood home.
And a definite plan to visit New York in October, helping Mom & Dad move to Florida which I hope turns into a 2nd honeymoon with my hunnie bunnie!!

Now back to the present!!
Still no job but this time our rental house is feeling more like our home than any other place we have ever lived in. Each day goes by and I am able to make this feel cozier and ours.
Our baby hounds are still spoiled rotten & cuddly and drooly & stinky!!
We celebrated our 3rd anniversary of adopting our Boo-Boo on New Years Eve.
He's still a big goof and we hope that we can have him in our lives for many more years!

Well, not much else to do besides hope you guys all have a GREAT year as well!!

I believe that this is going to be OUR year!!

LONG DAY.....

Late at nite after every one has headed to bed and I just cannot seem to keep my eyes closed, I find myself thinking about friends (old & new), family, and our future...
Some times I cannot stop myself from smiling and other times, like this evening I cannot stop the tears from falling...who ever said that life gets easier when we get older was lying!!
Things are more complicating & you cannot run for cover under your mother's wing...

Moments like right now all I want to do is crawl into my mom's lap and have her protect me from hurting.
It seems like no matter what I do it just isn't right.

IT'S OFFICIAL!!!

We will be moving Veterans' Day Weekend to Osceola, Iowa.
Nothing new is going on. Each day is the day before.
I am still unemployed, hanging out at the house watching DVR'd shows and cleaning.
Justin is still working every day and getting anxious to move and run his OWN station!!
Jennie bit me in the face back in July but has become a better dog since.
Brewster is still stinky and drooly. I think that he is starting to age because he's slower and sleepier than the day before.

With that, I guess I'm done updating!!

Let the Countdown Begin!!

Hopefully Justin's orders will be released on 15 June so that we can finally start planning where we are heading to next!!
I plan on having a HUGE garage sale the last weekend in June (i think the 25th).
I want every thing to go...
If I am lucky we will only have a small U-Haul to pull to our next home...

Things are going pretty good here...
lots of things to think about and lots to do!!

We have been cleaning the house, the yard, and the garage for the last few weekends and are looking forward to taking the next step in our life.

Jennie is great and due to Justin Brewster now has a crazy haircut...
just a heads up for those of you that are planning on cutting your dogs' hair all on your own....
DON'T!!!!!

Not much else going on...

We will give every one a heads up when we know more...

Thinking about starting a blog!

So with all of the things that I need to do I have decided that I have to get myself motivated...
motivated to do some thing...
and for some reason the past 10 months all that I have accomplished is building a really great farm on farmville.

yea, I am that pathetic!!

So, after talking with my hubby I have decided that until I know what our future holds I am going to start a blog...

the thing is that I need opinions...
there are SOOO many blogs out there that I am unsure what would be interesting for others to read.

I have been thinking about doing a blog about things that I know some thing about...
being a military dependent
needing to diet
being unemployed
our quest for parenthood
being far from family & friends
cooking for 2
relocating
starting fresh

but then, i thought about other things that would be interesting, things that I know NOTHING about but am interested in...
going vegan
exercising
amateur photography

So what do you guys think??
 PLEASE HELP!!! :)
